“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. (Psalm 103:2).

Everyone on earth is indebted to the Almighty God. When you remember that the breath of life you have is not a function of your power; that many individual that are better positioned than you are dead; but by a stroke of grace you’re alive, you will be full of praise to God.

No doubt the reason why many people do not think they should thank God is because they are looking at those things they do not yet have, but they forget to look at those things they have right now. Some would even say they have nothing to show forth for couple of years. Such are unmindful of the fact that it is with life that things are produced, and when you have life you have everything (Psalm 68:19).

The Psalmist in Psalm 42:4 says: “…I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise…” Let’s cultivate the habit of giving gratitude to the Lord without being forced for all that He has done in the past, all He is doing in the present and all He is yet to do. And as you do this, He is committed to doing more.

When you shower encomium on a benefactor based on past favour to you, you are most likely to be remembered for bigger slice of the ‘cake’ when the next round of assistance is rolled out by her. If this works in relationship between mortals full of limitations, how much more the immortal God who has no limitations?

For all the blessings and protection of the Almighty God throughout 2022, you cannot praise Him enough. When you praise Him adequately and magnify His various names, He’s moved, and once God moves on your behalf, you can expect the miraculous. Therefore don’t be a debtor of gratitude to God but be grateful.
